On the client machine:

1. Run
2. type "cmd"
   1. type "gpresult" ~ will show you aplied policies for logged on user
   2. type "gpupdate" ~ will update the policies
   3. type "gupupdate /force" ~ will force update policies.

1. Run
2. Type rsop.msc ~ This will open up a window showing the applied settings from the policy and show any error messages.  Very helpful.
