Installed on: 3.0gh, 1.5mg ram. Dell dimention 4600. Running on an Active directory network
Overall: Windows 7 is what Windows Vista should have been. Upon first glance they seem to be targeting the home market, which means more tweaking to just make it play nice in a network environment.
- Good:
- Performance seems to be great, just clicking around it feels really fast.
- Joined to Active Directory domain fine.
- Can shut off annoying pop-up questions.
- Bad:
- Easy to get lost looking for standard control panel items. (did recently find the show all, which heps)
- Problem: I had to disable the sleep (took me a while to find out where), because the computer would not wake up from it.
- Problem: Does not seem to be running active diredory logon scripts (Big hit against them)
- Unrated:
- I personally think it is too flashy; using it reminds me of those websites on the not good list, with all the animated gifs.

- Installed, quick and easy, all the drivers installed without issue (to be expected)
- Had trouble navigating the control panel to find standard settings.
- Joined to domain fine, but does not run the logon script.

- Found the show all control panel items and I now feel like I can find stuff.
- No headway on lack of logon script.
